The tourism sustainability certification
The international certification by the Responsible Tourism Institute (ITR), recognizes the commitment of the Emilio Sánchez Academy, for respect for the environment, sustainability and local economic development at the Barcelona headquarters, located in El Prat de Llobregat , an area of high ecological value.
The delivery of the Biosphere seal has become effective today at the Emilio Sánchez Academy located in El Prat de Llobregat, following all safety and hygiene protocols, by Gemma Rodriguez, Baix Llobregat Tourism Councilor and Debora García, Tourism Councilor El Prat de Llobregat, Marisa Sánchez Vicario, ES Academy Barcelona Headquarters Director and Sergi Bonillo, ES Academy Barcelona Services and Operations Director.
The Emilio Sánchez Academy is committed to the environment, and sensitizes both at the Barcelona headquarters and in Florida, all employees, student-athletes, about climate change with various actions throughout the year.
The student-athletes from Emilio Sánchez Academy and ES Internacional School do not use plastic, they use their own water bottles, they also recycle and last year they joined the #fridaysforfuture movement to raise awareness about climate change.
The Biosphere is a seal of the Responsible Tourism System of the Institute for Responsible Tourism (ITR), a certification of sustainable, voluntary and independent tourism, which works to apply the 17 objectives of sustainable development of the United Nations, the World Charter of Sustainable Tourism and the guidelines of the Paris Climate Summit.
